Discounts at 2020 Bermuda Festival

Seniors and students will get discounted ticket prices at the 2020 Bermuda Festival of the Performing Arts.

Organisers say they want as many people as possible to have access to the entertainment which runs from January to March.

They have formed a partnership with Age Concern so that seniors will be eligible for a discount without becoming Bermuda Festival members.

Discounts will generally be 20 to 25 per cent for senior residents, and 25 to 50 per cent for students.

Festival chairman David Skinner said: “We really want to make the Bermuda Festival as accessible as possible, especially given this year’s theme, which is Come Together. Wherever possible, we are offering discounts to seniors and students.”

Some shows, including featured artist Dianne Reeves, will not have discounts.

Mr Skinner said: “Unfortunately, we are unable to offer discounted tickets for a few of our featured performances.

“We have, however, made ticket prices as low as possible. We sincerely hope that the price points and discounts will help to make the Bermuda Festival more accessible to all.”

A pricing scheme will also be in place so that the cost of a seat will depend on its view of the stage.

Mr Skinner said: “We are trying something new this year, which is to make the seats that are the farthest from the stage actually cost less.

• Pricing and discounts will be calculated on ptix.bm at the time of purchase.
